We were delighted to be recently involved in refurbishing a retail environment for a long-established family business in Glasgow.
McGowans Jewellers is a 4th generation business with two successful shops in Glasgow’s famous Argyll Arcade. As we all know, jewellery shopping is something that consumers take time and a significant amount of pleasure over. After all, it is often one of the most memorable investments that people make; and naturally, they want to enjoy the experience of exploring options and selecting a special piece of jewellery.
Enabling customers to relax in comfort and feel at ease during the browsing and shopping experience is essential. Moreover, the interior quality can have a very positive impact by reinforcing the quality of the service and the jewellery. What we hope we have achieved at McGowans is an inviting and comfortable environment that provides just enough WOW factor to impress without distracting from the star of the show, the jewellery they have on offer!
McGowans Jewellers’ Managing Director, Nicola McCann, was involved in every step of the process from the design brief, discussing and approving the proposals right through to completion and installation on site. Nicola was happy to tell us how delighted she was with the service provided at John Dick & Son when she commented: “Sally and her team were, as expected from previous experience, amazing right from the beginning. They understood what we aimed to achieve, and the end result was exceptional.

We are very pleased with the final result. As you will see from the photographs, it certainly is a welcoming and comfortable environment that adequately demonstrates the quality of service you would expect from a business established in 1895.
