If you’d turned up at our showroom last Thursday night you’d have been forgiven for thinking you had arrived at the wrong place; all of our furniture was on display, but every seat was occupied by people enjoying the memorable sounds of Fleetwood Mac.  It was of course our special Linn Lounge evening with Loud & Clear.  Guests were not only enjoying tracks like The Chain, Dreams and Go Your Own Way, they were experiencing the incredible sound quality provided by Linn equipment.

Loud & Clear not only demonstrated the superlative sounds that can be achieved from Linn sound systems, they also treated guests to a very interesting insight into Fleetwood Mac and the many twists and turns in the band’s long history.  Linn’s Stephen Hume shared his extensive knowledge in between the many tracks that clearly brought back fond memories for many of the guests.

Music from Fleetwood Mac on the evening was played on Linn’s 530 system, streaming studio master recordings from a hard drive (in this case, a PC), through Linn Series 5 loudspeakers in a stunning ‘Birds n Bees’ fabric finish.  The whole system can be seamlessly integrated into your home surroundings and controlled via smartphone, tablet or remote control.

Linn Lounge evenings are a regular event for Loud & Clear, but rarely do they involve the guests also enjoying the comfort of such a wide range of handmade furniture.  It was an opportunity for them to try out some of the many sofas and chairs we have on display in the showroom.  We always encourage our customers to try the furniture as if it were in their home, however this proved to be an excellent way for them to experience the comfort and quality of the furniture for an extended period whilst taking in the sounds of one of the greatest bands of all time.

The night wouldn’t have been complete without some good quality wine and fine food which was beautifully prepared and presented by Whisk.

All in all, it was a great evening and we are grateful for the feedback we’ve received since last Thursday.  Due to the demand for tickets for last Thursday’s event, we have another Linn Lounge event, this time featuring The Beatles, planned the 1st December, however there are only a few places left for this event.
