Traveling to beautiful European cities to visit leading international furniture shows is definitely a perk of the job. Although it’s not all glamour, we did walk over 80 km due to the sheer size of the show and the number of manufacturers we needed to talk to over a couple of days.
IMM Cologne proved to be a very rewarding trip indeed, and it was great to get a preview of the trends for 2017. Being well known to the top manufacturers does have its rewards, we were allowed to take photos of the latest designs to share with you, not a privilege afforded to every visitor!
Hopefully the images will give you some indication of the range of furniture and styles that we saw this week, some of which we’ve ordered for the showroom. We’re so excited that our new stock will start to arrive in about six week’s time.
From Cologne, we’re now traveling to Birmingham & London, a trip we do every year. We also combine this trip with visits to some of our manufacturers. It’s important for us to visit them regularly and cement the great relationships we have established over the years, and also to see what’s coming in the year ahead. We look forward to reporting back to you about this trip.
