Following our January buying trip we shared a blog outlining the trends that were noticeable for 2015. One of these was the use of wood, and in particular the almost ‘raw’ or unfinished ways in which timber, and reclaimed timber were being used.
Many of the pieces we bought during our trip are starting to arrive in the showroom, and one of the recent arrivals is typical of the style we mentioned back in our January blog following the buying trip.
This dining suite is truly beautiful; rugged, yet rounded and ‘soft’. It certainly looks, and is, a robust piece, yet its shape offers the intimacy you often loose with a 8 – 10 seater round table. Somehow you don’t feel that far away from anyone no matter where you sit!
It’s natural, almost unfinished, surface is beautifully finished with soft rounded edges, complimenting the unusual oval shape of the top. The legs too are robust, but cleverly positioned so as not to get in the way of diners.
The chairs shown with the table are typical of the trend for ‘antique’ leather and metal used together; they are extremely simple in their design, but the real joy is the comfort they provide the user.
All in all, it’s a beautiful set and it’s available to see in the showroom now. Lot’s of our new stock is already in store, with lots more to come in the very near future, it’s worth dropping in for a coffee and a browse, we are sure you’ll be inspired by some of the great pieces we have on offer.
If you have found this post interesting, please share it with your online community, there’s a good chance they too will find it interesting. Thank you.
