That’s it for another year; our Annual Sale ended on Tuesday and was a great success. Many people took advantage of the significant reductions in our showroom stock, and we’re so pleased they did.
The primary reason for having an Annual Sale is to clear space in the showroom for the arrival of the next season’s stock, and we certainly need plenty of space this year.
The start of the year is our traditional buying season when we select the ranges we want to offer our customers, so we’ve been on the road on your behalf. We have been in Paris for one of the finest furniture shows in Europe, Maison & Objet. Here, we see the finest European manufacturers coming together to launch their new ranges; it’s impressive and exhausting. With so much to see and many people to speak to, it wasn’t hard to fill the few short days in Paris. From there, we moved to Birmingham to the January Furniture Show at the NEC. Once again, they were extremely full days, exploring, chatting and buying from various top names in furniture and interiors.
Tiring though it is, it’s a time of year we look forward to; we are passionate about furniture, so why wouldn’t we enjoy seeing all of the new designs and catching up on what’s trending? But it’s more than that; it’s also about meeting old friends and rekindling relationships. As a 4th generation family business, we have formed friendships with many manufacturers and value our relationships with them. They also enjoy meeting us because it allows them to hear what our customers want and what they like and dislike.
So, the Annual Sale, the furniture exhibitions and the face-to-face meetings and relationship building are all part of an annual cycle that ensures we can bring you the best European designs from the finest furniture makers, who are also our friends.
The new stock is arriving now, so why not drop into our furniture store to see the elegance, quality and craftsmanship of the ranges we stock?
Below are some pictures we took on our travels; we hope they whet your appetite.
