We’re looking for a Furniture Delivery Porter

John Dick and Son are a long-established, family-run, high-quality furniture and interior design business based in Busby on the south side of Glasgow.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident, individual with practical skills who is able to install furniture in customers homes. Playing a key role in the service we offer.

Hours of work: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm

Tasks include:

• Loading and unloading vehicles with some heavy lifting involved

• Delivering goods to customer’s homes, setting out as required and removing all packaging

• Organising and keeping the warehouse and showroom clean and tidy.

• Assembling furniture and carrying out basic repairs if required (training given)

• Basic maintenance to grounds and showroom

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

• Good customer service skills, well presented, friendly and helpful

• Clean, tidy, organised and able to problem-solve with a good attitude

• Good team player able to work with other members of staff

• Physically fit, reliable & punctual.

Required qualification:

• Full clean driving licence
