Today is the last day of our annual sale, and we now start to look at furniture trends and new stock for the coming year and we’re delighted with the designs we have already seen, and ordered, for the showroom.
Last week Bruce Dick, Managing Director of John Dick & Son, started the buying season with visits to Interiors 2011 in Birmingham and, Maison & Objet 2011 in Paris, the two largest interior trade shows in Europe.
Over the next couple of weeks we will post some images to give you an idea of the furniture and accessories that will shortly be arriving at John Dick & Son.
It’s worth noting that John Dick & Son hand pick the stock for their showroom therefore it is essential to be present at these major shows to gauge the trends and fashions for the following year. This year it’s about mixing eclectic and unusual pieces, fine french cherry and walnut sitting with chunky weathered Oak and soft furnishings in shiny metallic fabrics contrasting with cosy plaids, linens and velvets.
We are very excited about the new ranges which will start to appear in the showroom in the next couple of weeks. For now, we will be posting some images taken on the buying trips to give you a flavour of what to expect this year. Please check back over the next few days to see some of the magnificent pieces you can expect to see in the showroom. Alternatively, you may find it easier to follow the bog posts on our Facebook Page.
